What Happens After You Contact D.A.D.S. Construction?
After you call, email or send the form, our team reviews your project details and reaches out to talk through your ideas and schedule a free on-site estimate. At the visit we measure, look at sun exposure, slope and access, then follow up with a clear written scope, timeline and price, with no pressure to commit.
- We review your request: we read your message or listen to your voicemail so we understand the type of project, your city and any timing needs.
- We call you back: a short conversation covers your goals, rough size, budget range and any HOA rules you already know about.
- Free on-site estimate: we visit your home at a time that works for you, measure the space and talk through materials and design options.
- Written proposal: you receive the scope, recommended materials, timeline and price up front so you can compare and decide.
- Scheduling and permits: once you approve, we help with Washington County permits and HOA design review, then put your project on the calendar.
What happens during the on-site estimate visit?
Most visits are relaxed and take place right in your backyard, patio or the room you want to change. We look at how the space connects to the house, where the sun hits in the afternoon, how water drains during monsoon storms and whether the ground is flat, sloped or rocky. We also check access for materials and equipment and note anything that could affect permits or HOA review, such as setbacks from property lines. Then we talk through the options that fit your goals and budget, explain the pros and cons of each material, and answer every question you have before we leave.
Is the estimate really free?
Yes. Estimates are free and come with no obligation. We would rather you take time to understand your options than feel rushed. If you are comparing several ideas, such as a patio cover versus a louvered roof, we can price more than one option during the same visit.
What is the best way to reach us?
Calling (435) 301-8298 is the quickest way to talk with someone directly. Email at dadsconstruction11@gmail.com or our contact form works well when you want to send photos, measurements or a longer description. If we miss your call, leave a message with your name, number and city and we will get back to you.
Do we offer any discounts?
Yes. As a veteran-owned company, we are proud to offer discounts for teachers, service workers and seniors. Mention it when you contact us and we will include it in your estimate.
What Should You Have Ready for Your Free Estimate?
You do not need finished plans to request an estimate. It helps to have a rough idea of the size and location of the project, a few photos of the space, your HOA guidelines if you have them, a target timeline and a budget range. With those basics we can give you more accurate options during the very first visit.
- Photos of the area: wide shots of the yard, patio or room, plus any existing deck, cover or structure we would be connecting to.
- Approximate size: rough length and width, or simply the area you want shaded, enclosed or built.
- Which direction it faces: west-facing yards take the hardest afternoon sun in St. George, which affects shade and material choices.
- Inspiration: pictures of styles you like, from our gallery or anywhere else.
- Timeline and budget range: even a rough range helps us recommend the right materials and scope.
Can you request an estimate for more than one project?
Yes. Many homeowners combine projects, such as a new deck with a louvered roof overhead and privacy screens along one side, or a sunroom paired with a bathroom remodel. Planning everything together lets us coordinate framing, electrical rough-ins, drainage and finishes so each piece works with the others, and it often makes scheduling simpler than tackling each project separately.
Which services can you ask us about?
We build and remodel both outdoor and indoor spaces. When you contact us, you can ask about any of the following, or a combination:
- Outdoor platforms: deck and patio construction and railing installation.
- Shade and overhead structures: louvered roofs, adjustable pergolas, awning pergolas and patio covers.
- Privacy and protection: decorative privacy screens, screen porches and patio and room enclosures.
- More living space: sunrooms and home additions.
- Interior projects: kitchen, bathroom and whole-home remodeling.
Not sure which option fits your yard? Browse all of our services before you call, or simply describe how you want to use the space and we will suggest options.
How should you prepare for HOA review?
Many neighborhoods in Washington County, including communities like Sunriver, require design approval before a deck, pergola, patio cover or enclosure is built. Getting the paperwork right the first time can save weeks.
- Find your HOA's architectural or design guidelines and any required application form.
- Note rules about colors, materials, height and setbacks from property lines.
- Share these documents with us so the design is drawn to fit them from the start.
- Ask whether neighbor sign-off or a site plan is required.
We can prepare drawings, material details and color information to include with your HOA submission, and we coordinate any Washington County permit the project needs. Having approval in hand before construction starts keeps your project on schedule and helps avoid costly design changes later.
Which Areas Do We Serve From St. George?
D.A.D.S. Construction is based in St. George, Utah, and serves homeowners throughout Washington County and nearby Southern Utah communities.
During the busy spring and fall building seasons, reaching out a little earlier gives you more flexibility in choosing an estimate time and a start date that fits your plans, especially if your project also needs HOA approval.
Which cities do we work in?
Our core service area includes St. George and the nearby cities of Washington City, Hurricane, Leeds, Santa Clara and Ivins. We also work in La Verkin, Toquerville, Veyo, Dammeron Valley, Virgin, Central, Pine Valley, Apple Valley, Rockville, Springdale, Enterprise, New Harmony, Cedar City and Enoch. See our service areas for notes on each community, or call if your town is not listed.
Why does local experience matter when you reach out?
Building in Southern Utah is different from building almost anywhere else. Summer highs of 105–115°F, extreme UV, red dust and wind storms and sudden monsoon rain all affect how a project should be designed. Lots range from flat valley floors to sloped, rocky hillsides with red sandstone and clay soils. Because we work here every day, we can spot these issues during the first visit and plan around them.
How do we schedule your free estimate visit?
When you first reach out, let us know which days and times suit you and we will set up the on-site visit around your schedule. If your week is tight, we can start with a quick phone call to cover the basics before meeting in person, so the visit itself is focused on measuring the space and talking through options.
Have more questions before you call?
Our full FAQ covers permits, HOA approval, materials, maintenance and the estimate process, and our planning resources walk through deck, shade and enclosure decisions in more detail. If you can dream it, we can build it. Reach out today to start planning your project.
